These conditions include Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Hypothyroid and chronic Allergies. We will also manage the chronic diseases that are often associated with or resulting from these conditions including Hypertension, High Cholesterol and Diabetes.     Hours: This a unique daytime position as the centers will be performing home sleep testing followed by CPAP management. No weekends! No night-time calls!

    Responsibilities

    Technologist would have to first train internal staff at different centers on setting up the home sleep test device, mask fittings and CPAP settings after which would have to be able to score home studies, document observations and report this information to the Sleep medicine director. Sleep Technologist will monitor and address Center generated provider questions on CPAP follow up visits and CPAP compliance visits. We will have a telemedicine set up to help coordinate telemedicine activities.  In addition, the Technologist will be critical in driving patient compliance, as in-between patient visits at each clinic, the Technologist will be responsible for contacting patients directly where compliance is not meeting expectations.



    • Help internal staff conduct home sleep study setups and downloads.

    • Score home sleep studies. Scoring will initially be an integral part of the position, but as we scale to higher numbers we will use a scoring software as primary and the technologist would need to confirm results.

    • Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including diagnostic and therapeutic intervention, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education under the direction of the Sleep Medicine Director.

    • Remote initial and ongoing training of internal staff is a key component at various Centers on setting up the home sleep test device, mask fitting and CPAP settings. 

    • Troubleshoot equipment and sensor problems. 

    • Assist internal staff with CPAP follow up visits via telemedicine. 

    • Make proactive calls to patients who are not meeting compliance objectives. 

    • Handle in-bound daytime calls from patients needing assistance with their HST/CPAP.

    Qualifications


    • License: RPSGT



    • Sleep Medicine: Must have at least 3 years’ of scoring experience, scoring lab studies or home sleep studies, with knowledge of all the current AASM rules and regulations.
